Gorney joins Sunflower Bank as VP, trust officer
WICHITA, Kansas – Sunflower Bank announces the addition of Charles Gorney as Vice President & Trust Officer in its Wichita market.
Gorney has more than 20 years of banking and trust experience in the Wichita area. He will be based in Sunflower Bank’s downtown location at 201 N. Main, and will concentrate on trust and wealth management. Gorney also will focus on business development and commercial banking in Wichita.

Gorney returned to Wichita in 2002 after serving as Executive Vice President for the Millennium Trust Company in Oak Brook, Ill. – a company he co-founded in 1999. Prior to that, Gorney served as vice president and trust officer for Intrust Bank in Wichita beginning in 1982.
Gorney has served many Wichita community organizations, including volunteer service on the boards of Partners for Progress, Rainbows United and Golden Plains Girl Scouts, among others. He is a graduate of Wichita’s Chamber of Commerce Leadership 2000.

Gorney was born in Chicago, Ill. and graduated from the University of Illinois – Chicago. He also is a graduate of Omega Lending and Cannon Trust Schools. He is married to wife, Denise, with three grown children – Matthew, Anne, and Christopher.
