Five Sunflower Bankers earn promotions and officer elections

Sunflower Bank announced the following promotions and officer elections after the company’s annual Board of Directors meeting in February.

Evette Beckman – Assistant Vice President, Deposit Operations Officer – Salina, Kansas.
Beckman joined Sunflower Bank in 1999 as wire transfer clerk and currently supervises Sunflower Bank’s items processing, electronic services, quality assurance, file maintenance departments and corporate service efforts. She will continue to oversee growth and improvement of Sunflower Bank’s electronic processes, and has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Sunflower customers.

Carrie Piepho – Vice President, Credit Administrator – Salina, Kansas.
Piepho joined Sunflower Bank in 2005 after 13 years as a state bank examiner. Previously an assistant vice president, Piepho has dedicated her talents and expertise to complex loan review and management in Sunflower Bank’s credit administration department.

Jennifer Wicks –Vice President, Loan Operations – Salina, Kansas.
Wicks has worked for Sunflower Bank since graduating from Bethany College in Lindsborg in 1998. In 11 years in Sunflower’s loan operations department. Wicks was named manager of Loan Operations in 2007, and will continue in that capacity while also ensuring Sunflower Bank’s loan processes are compliant and efficient for customers.

The $1.8-billion full-service community bank also announced two officer elections.

Crystal Hervey – Branch Managing Officer, Wichita, Kansas.
Hervey joined Sunflower Bank Wichita in 2003 as a teller and customer service representative, and currently functions as manager of Sunflower Bank’s 2073 North Webb Road location, and also as a lead contact for business development. Hervey has helped the bank grow in Wichita, also developing key staff members in Sunflower Bank’s Wichita market.

Shawn Sutton – Commercial Lending Officer – Pueblo, Colorado.
Sutton, a native of Canon City, Colorado, joined Sunflower Bank Canon City in 2004 as a teller in the bank’s Walmart location. Since then, Sutton has grown into a commercial lender, now managing a portfolio of clients in Sunflower Bank’s Pueblo market and is a key business development resource in Pueblo.
