Second full-service bank coming soon in Hays
HAYS, Kansas – Sunflower Bank proudly broke ground on Friday, August 24 at its new Roth Plaza location – the bank’s second full-service location in Hays.
The freestanding bank facility will serve as a companion to the bank’s location at 1010 E. 27th, with similar functions. The new Roth Plaza location will feature safe deposit boxes, additional drive-through lanes, an ATM, and familiar Sunflower Bank personnel.
“Our new location is a testament to Sunflower Bank’s dedication to consumers in Hays and Ellis County,” said Dale Gottschalk, president – Sunflower Bank Hays, Victoria and Russell. “We recognized the need for another convenient, full-service location to serve our Western Kansas customers.”
The site’s proximity to Interstate 70 in Hays’ fast-growing Roth Plaza, appeals to Hays shoppers and consumers, but also Western Kansas customers in the Ellis County area. Sunflower Bank’s central office at 1010 27th will continue to operate as a full-staff, full-service bank location, and will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and for eight hours on Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. Additionally, the new Sunflower Bank north office will also operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Chris Riedel, manager of Sunflower Bank’s Dillons and Victoria locations, will manage the new facility, and Desiree Friess will serve as assistant manager. Most staff members at the Dillons location will move into similar positions in Roth Plaza. Loan officers and other personnel will also be available to customers at the facility. Sunflower Bank’s Dillons® location, at 1902 N. Vine in Hays, will close upon the North location’s opening.
