New Chief Financial Officer announced
SALINA, Kansas – Sunflower Bank announces the upcoming addition of Bruce Benyshek as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, based in its headquarters of Salina, Kan.
Benyshek arrives at Sunflower Bank after two years as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Equity Bank in Wichita. Prior to that, Benyshek spent nine years with Allen Gibbs & Houlik in Wichita, specializing in business appraisal, litigation support and banking.
Benyshek will begin his tenure at Sunflower Bank in February, serving on Sunflower Bank’s executive committee and supervising the bank’s accounting and finance operations. Previously, Benyshek worked at Sunflower Bank from 1988 until 1996 in the bank’s finance department, active in mergers and acquisitions and reporting to the bank’s CEO.

Benyshek is a 1977 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a B.S. in accounting. Benyshek became a certified public accountant (CPA) in 1980 and a certified valuation analyst (CVA) in 1997.
