Officers and promotions announced

The following promotions were announced at Sunflower Bank’s annual Board of Directors meeting in February.
- Phyllis Pickel – Executive Vice President, Corporate & Relationship Development – Salina, Kansas.
Pickel, formerly EVP and director of marketing at Sunflower Bank, will continue her responsibilities as director of marketing but also will lead Sunflower Bank’s human resources and corporate training and development teams. Pickel is a member of Sunflower Bank’s executive committee and has served as Sunflower’s director of marketing for the past 16 years.
- Jennifer Wicks – Assistant Vice President – Loan Operations – Salina, Kansas.
Wicks will continue to lead Sunflower Bank’s loan operations department with responsibility for process improvement and team development. Wicks has worked at Sunflower Bank for almost 10 years in the loan and credit administration departments.
The board also elected three Sunflower Bank employees to officer status:
- John Hanley – Advertising and Public Relations Officer – Salina, Kansas.
Hanley joined Sunflower Bank’s marketing staff in 2004, and will continue his responsibilities in media purchasing, brand management, corporate communication, public relations and improvement of online channels throughout Sunflower Bank’s 35 locations.
- Jessica Slattery – Customer Service Officer – Dodge City, Kansas.
Slattery joined Sunflower Bank Dodge City as a customer service representative in 2002 and has managed both Sunflower Bank Dodge City facilities, including daily functions and branch personnel, since 2005.
- Kristy Ward – Branch Managing Officer – Manhattan, Kansas
Ward manages the customer experience at Sunflower Bank’s Dillons location in Manhattan, Kan. She has been with Sunflower Bank for nearly 10 years, beginning in Salina as a customer service representative and lender and taking over management of the Dillons branch in 2004. She will continue in charge of daily operations and personnel as well as teller, consumer lending, and customer service duties.
