New bank facility at 48th and Vine in Hays
Sunflower Bank recently opened the doors at its new Hays North location at 48th and Vine – another full-service facility in the Ellis County area.
The bank is a companion to the main Hays location at 1010 E. 27th, with similar functions. Just north of Roth Plaza, the new location features safe deposit boxes, additional drive-through lanes, a stand-alone ATM, and familiar Sunflower Bank personnel.
Sunflower Bank’s North Hays location is located just north of Interstate 70 at 48th and Vine on the north end of Hays’ fast-growing Roth Plaza. Sunflower Bank’s North facility was designed not only to conveniently appeal to Hays shoppers and consumers, but also as a measure of convenience for Western Kansas customers and the Ellis County area.

Sunflower Bank’s Hays North location is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. The drive-up opens at 7:30 a.m., and a drive-up Sunflower Bank ATM also is located on the site. On April 7, Sunflower Bank North will hold its Grand Opening, and will feature various celebrations and prize giveaways between April 7 and April 11.
Chris Riedel will manage the new facility, and Desiree Friess serves as assistant manager at Hays North. Staff members from the Sunflower Bank Dillons location also have moved into similar positions in Roth Plaza. Loan officers and other personnel are also available to customers at Sunflower Bank North. Sunflower Bank’s Dillons® location, at 1902 Vine, is now closed.
Sunflower Bank’s main office at 1010 27th will continue to operate as a full-staff, full-service bank location, and also is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and on Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. Sunflower Bank also is located in Victoria at 401 Main Street.
