Sunflower Bank Cañon City consolidated its two full-service banking facilities in Cañon City on August 4, and now offers one convenient full-service location featuring most Cañon City personnel under one roof.

Sunflower Bank’s major Cañon City location, now 831 Royal Gorge Boulevard, is a four-story office built in 1974 with the intent to house all of the bank’s Cañon City and Fremont County banking operations. Sunflower Bank also will continue to operate its office inside Wal-Mart on Highway 50.

Sunflower Bank expanded its roster of services and personnel at 831 Royal Gorge Boulevard to include all commercial, mortgage and consumer lending officers under one roof, as well as customer service staff and trust and wealth management services. Sunflower Bank customers’ personal and corporate banking services will continue seamlessly.

“It’s a natural move for us, and will benefit our Fremont County customers,” said Larry Stringari, president of Sunflower Bank Cañon City. “And we’re pleased to bring together all of our personnel, features and courtesies. Our Royal Gorge building is only blocks from our former Main Street facility, and does not diminish our commitment to Cañon City’s vital Main Street community.”

Sunflower Bank also renovated and improved its Royal Gorge Boulevard building, including window replacements and other updates throughout the facility. The bank encompasses the entire first floor and lower level, and the full-service location features safe deposit boxes, an ATM, and familiar Sunflower Bank personnel from throughout Cañon City. In addition, more parking was created for the location, which features four drive-through lanes. Sunflower Bank’s 531 Main Street location closed August 1.
