We encourage all our customers to plan and save for the future – offering savings accounts and also certificates of deposits.

First Kids club!

First Kids Club!

For customers age 12 and younger, we offer First Kids, a savings club designed to help make saving money fun and educational, featuring the First Kids mascot, Bubba The Bear! Bubba gets the First Kids together throughout the year for fun events and parties.

  • No quarterly maintenance fee.
  • Easy access – six withdrawals from your account each quarterly statement cycle without charge.

Health Savings Accounts

We offer Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) for both personal and business customers. An H.S.A. is a perfect complement to a high-deductible health plan, or to simply save funds for future health expenses – while earning interest at the same time. HSAs feature:

  • Competitive interest earnings – accrued and paid monthly
  • Free specific health savings debit card
  • No monthly maintenance fees or set-up fees
  • No transaction fees – unlimited activity
  • Monthly statement with check images
  • Special checks and deposit slips to differentiate from your regular checking account.

Health savings accounts also feature additional tax benefits and are an excellent fit with an existing or new insurance policy.

In addition, Sunflower Bank’s full line of corporate services can include health savings accounts provided for your employees, along with several other services customized for your business.

Certificates of Deposit

A Certificate of Deposit (CD) typically offers a higher rate of interest than a regular savings account and unlike many other investments, CDs feature federal deposit insurance up to $100,000.

  • Here’s how CDs work: When you purchase a CD, you invest a fixed sum of money for fixed period of time – 30 days, three months, one year, five years, etc. – and, in exchange, we pay you interest. When you cash in or redeem your CD, you receive the money you originally invested plus any accrued interest. But if you redeem your CD before the CD has matured, you may have to pay an "early withdrawal" penalty or forfeit a portion of the interest you earned.
  • We offer a wide variety of CD products, often with limited-time only CD Specials. Keep checking the web site to see what’s available – or contact a Sunflower Bank professional anywhere at 888.827.5564.
