Sunflower Bank is pleased to announce that it has hired Chrissy Foster as an SBA Expert Business Banker. She joins Chris Wren on our Houston Business Banking team that provides specialized services solely focused on building relationships with small and medium-sized businesses.
Chrissy started in her role in early May, bringing over 20 years of expertise in SBA lending as well as a successful history of structuring vast and varied business loan transactions. Throughout her career, Chrissy has reviewed thousands of business plans, and is also a two-time business owner. She entered the banking industry in 1997 and has been trained in underwriting for all SBA products, business loan structuring, cash flow analysis and credit. Chrissy has worked with a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, industrial, marine, dental practices, medical practices, chiropractic practices, retail stores, technology and agriculture. With each client she helps determine the best financing structure that could include SBA 7(a), SBA 504 or SBA Express loans, as well as conventional loans.

Chrissy is an active and committed member of the greater Houston community. She participates in multiple charitable foundations including Susan G. Komen Foundation and March of Dimes, and is a frequent participant with community business organizations such as SBA Houston District Lender’s Match, UH Small Business Development Center and Mid-America Lenders Conference. Chrissy graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Chris Wren is a vice president of Business Banking, and joined Sunflower Bank in September 2020 as one of the first team members in our Houston office. He has been in the banking industry for almost 15 years with a focus on building valuable relationships with business customers. His prior experience includes roles at national and regional banks as a relationship manager and banking team leader. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas.
