Sunflower Bank announces a number of recent hires and enhancements to the structure of its Wichita team that further the bank’s ability to support the growth of local businesses and business owners. Headed by new market president Mark Stauffer, the Wichita team delivers a community bank model of locally informed decision making with large bank solutions for commercial banking, small and medium-sized business banking, treasury management and wealth management.

Mark Stauffer joined Sunflower Bank as market president responsible for management and growth of the bank in Wichita, with a focus on building and strengthening relationships with customers and the community. Experienced in managing large teams, Mark has over 25 years of experience in financial services with expertise in relationship management and credit analysis. He holds a B.A. in Finance from Kansas State University.
David Hodge is a longtime Kansas banker with nearly 30 years of experience. As senior vice president and commercial team leader, he uses his expertise to assist clients with the capital structure and tools they need to implement their strategic plans. David is the treasurer of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce and is active in his church.
Juan Hernandez is assistant vice president, business banker with over 8 years of banking experience. In his role, Juan is responsible for building relationships with small and medium-sized businesses including delivering customized support to the healthcare and professional services industries. Juan holds a B.B.A. in International Business from Missouri Southern State University.
The new hires joined Steve Schoenecker, vice president and senior commercial credit portfolio manager who is responsible for large commercial loan underwriting and approval. Steve has over 25 years of experience in commercial lending and credit analysis. He currently serves on the Kansas Chapter Board of Directors of the Risk Management Association.

Jessica Dunbar, treasury management officer, works with businesses to understand their cash cycle and provide solutions to increase efficiencies, accelerate collections, streamline payments and reduce risk.
