Sunflower Bank Grows in Metro Texas Region with Key Hires

Sunflower Bank announces the addition of senior commercial banking leaders in its Metro Texas region. The region was established in January 2020 and is led by Regional President Seth Allen. Brian Walsh joined Sunflower Bank as executive vice president serving as Dallas market president and leading Sunflower Bank’s new Corporate Middle Market Lending and Technology Lending practices. Ryan Voorhies was hired as senior vice president and Technology, Media and Telecommunications team lead.

Brian joined Sunflower Bank in March 2020 and is responsible for its management and growth in Dallas. His focus is building and strengthening relationships with customers while growing Sunflower Bank’s presence in the market. Brian has more than 25 years of experience as a financial officer with expertise in multiple industries, operations and commercial lending structures. Previous roles include leadership positions at regional Texas banks as well as ownership of a travel logistics company. He holds an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business and undergraduate degrees in Finance and Accounting from Oklahoma State University. Brian is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Ryan joined Sunflower Bank to develop a specialty lending practice for the technology, media and telecommunications industries. He started in the role in May 2020, bringing previous experience developing this practice at two $100+ billion regional banks. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from Texas Tech University’s Rawls School of Business.
