New Year Marketing Checklist

01/06/21

For most real estate professionals, successful new beginnings start with marketing – and the New Year is a great time to assess what’s working for you, what’s not, and where you can improve. To help get you started, we’ll cover a few areas to consider, to make sure you’re ready when the market heats up this spring.

Marketing Collateral

Is your messaging up-to-date? Are you fully-stocked? Are your most popular materials available and easy to view digitally? Maybe it’s time for a refresh or redesign. Whatever you feel is necessary, the important thing is to make sure you have what you need to get off to a hot start this year.

  • Business Cards
  • Brochures
  • Flyers
  • Digital / Printed Material

Digital Presence

Have you checked your omichannel presence to make sure your contact information is still accurate and up to date?

Are you collecting online reviews? Are you making them public and sharing them on social media? Bottom line: clients trust other clients. You are awesome, so utilize this to your benefit!

Is your content an even mixture of education, sales, and “real” moments your clients can relate to?

Email Campaigns

Have you checked your email campaign settings recently?

Are you still running target campaigns for current and prospective clients?

Is your content/contact information still up to date?

More Marketing Budget?

Think about adding a little more money to your marketing budget to test new tactics.

Create video testimonials and utilize a small budget for advertising to share them online.

Co-brand marketing with a lender can also bring more bang for your buck. Learn more on our real estate partner page.

Mining Your Data

If you are not actively utilizing a customer database or your referral network, you’re missing out. These resources are crucial to your expanded success, so make sure they are up-to-date and develop a plan by which you reach out to your contacts on a regular basis. Make sure that you have the connections and contacts that you need.

This is in no way a complete list, but we believe it’s a good starting point to kick off your marketing efforts this year. The important thing for transitioning to a new year is to make sure you’re staying true to your process while adding incremental changes. You are ultimately in tune with your business and clients; you know what’s working and what’s not. So stick with what works for you and look for opportunities where you can expand your efforts.
