Simple Ways to Save More This Year
05/15/24
Do you have young children and hope to spend less and save more this year? Consider these simple but effective approaches. Take smaller, less expensive vacations. (Your six year-old will be unlikely to remember a lot about a trip to Europe.) Think “minimal” where birthdays are concerned. (Three or four guests are plenty, and you don’t need to provide gift bags for guests.) Focus on what is best for your child and not on what other parents are doing for their kids. Take your child to the library instead of to the bookstore, and focus on fun activities rather than professionally coached sports and sports camps.
If spending less on your child makes you feel guilty, put the money you save into a college fund. You’ll be glad you did – guilt free.
