Investor Concerns Fade in a Strong Week for Economic Data and Markets
Economic data broadly exceeded expectations last week, leading to the best week of the year for financial markets. Subdued inflation and strong consumer data helped allay investors’ concerns about the job market. Labor market conditions will be top of mind for the Fed as they assess data in the leadup to the September FOMC meeting.
