Tariff Threats Loom Over Market

Markets started last week on shaky ground after President Trump announced a Tuesday deadline for imposing 25% tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada, along with a 10% tariff on imports from China.  Tariffs on Mexico and Canada were delayed one month after discussions with leaders of both countries.  The tariff on China went into effect and retaliatory tariffs were imposed.  The January jobs report revealed mixed signals about the health of the labor market.
