Brian Walsh

Brian Walsh joined Sunflower Bank in 2020 and currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. Brian received his BS in Finance & Accounting with a Minor in Economics from Oklahoma State University and graduated with his MBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University. Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant.

Brian has over 20 years in the banking industry, including Texas Capital Bank, Legacy Texas (now Prosperity Bank), Bank of Texas and Comerica Bank. Brian has a 30-year career in various leadership roles in financial services, public accounting, and operating companies. He has held leadership positions in finance, risk, operations, and strategic planning as well as board positions. During his career, he has financed numerous acquisitions of operating companies as well as asset pools. Industry expertise includes working with digital infrastructure, technology, consumer finance companies, enterprise value lending, and asset-based transactions, both domestically and internationally. In addition, he has significant experience assisting operating companies with capital raises and operating efficiency.

Brian is a member of the Texas Irish Cycling Club which raises funds for organizations like Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support and FARA Ride Ataxia. Brian is also an active member of Highland Park United Methodist Church.
