Jeff Laird

Jeff is the Senior Vice President and Team Lead for the Sunflower Bank Construction Trades Group. Jeff began his career in the contract surety industry in 1982 with the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company in San Francisco and relocated to Denver in 1994 to open a contract surety office for Insurance Company of the West. In 2001 Jeff made the move from bonding contractors to banking contractors. His entire 35 year career has been dedicated to serving the unique credit needs of contractors.

Jeff is passionate about working with contractors to help them achieve their goals. He has been active in the Colorado Contractors Association, Associated General Contractors, Construction Financial Management Association and the Rocky Mountain Surety Association. He currently serves as the co-chair for the 2020 AGC ACE Awards. Jeff has a proven track record of supporting contractors in both up and down markets. His expertise spans a wide range of contractors including: general contractors, specialty contractors and heavy civil contractors.
