About This Branch
First National 1870, a division of Sunflower Bank N.A.
Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a city of over 83,000 people. We are the nation’s oldest state capital and are known for our vibrant arts culture, rich history, and Santa Fe style architecture. First National 1870 is the oldest bank in the Southwest; we have roots in Santa Fe dating from just a few decades after the territory passed from Mexico to the United States. We also service surrounding communities: La Cienega, Madrid, Cerrillos, Peña Blanca, and Cochiti. Santa Fe Public Schools and Santa Fe Indian Schools participate in our popular ABC program.
First National 1870 is proud of our long history in New Mexico and we stay active in organizations that benefit our community: El Rancho de las Golondrinas, Grace Community Church Inc., Santa Fe Youth Symphony, Solace Crisis Treatment Center, United Way of Santa Fe County, Esperanza Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, Historic Santa Fe Foundation, Interfaith Community Shelter, Kitchen Angels, New Mexico Veterans/Helping Homeless Veterans, Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, Santa Fe Children's Museum, Santa Fe Symphony, Santa Fe Youth Shelter, Solace Crisis Treatment Center, St. Vincent's Hospital Foundation, Villa Therese Catholic Clinic, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Girls Inc., Boys & Girls Club of Santa Fe, and St. Elizabeth Shelter.
We have fun with annual events like El Rancho de Las Golondrinas: Spring & Fiber Fest, Herb & Lavender Festival, Santa Fe Wine Festival, Fiesta de los Niños, Annual Santa Fe Renaissance Fair, Harvest Festival, the Santa Fe County Health Fair and Spirits of New Mexico. Next time you’re in the area, we hope you’ll stop in and visit.
