The transaction closed in February 2019. Sunflower Bank’s Structured Finance Group launched in June 2018 bringing together a team of experienced industry leaders to provide corporate finance services to clients and prospects with borrowing needs of $3MM to $15MM+.
In this transaction, Denver-based Sunflower Bank provided senior debt financing following an equity investment in Western’s Smokehouse by Charis Consumer Partners. The senior debt financing included a revolving line of credit and capital expenditure draw facility in support of the company’s future growth. Sunflower Bank’s Structured Finance Group provides relationship-focused Leveraged Finance and Asset Based Lending services to lower middle market companies and private equity investors.

Western’s Smokehouse is a specialty manufacturer and co-packer of smoked meat sticks, bars, nuggets and other non-jerky meat snacks. It supplies several of the category’s top-growing brands and also produces its own branded product. Western’s Smokehouse was founded in 1979 and is based in Greentop, Missouri.
