Our Family of Brands
Our longevity is rooted in the long-term relationships we’ve built and continue to grow. Founded in Kansas in 1892, today Sunflower Bank's headquarters are in Dallas, TX, as a result of our expanding footprint. We operate as First National 1870 in Albuquerque, Los Alamos, and Santa Fe, NM, to honor its legacy as the first bank in the Southwestern US. FirstSun Capital Bancorp (“FirstSun”) is the parent holding company for Sunflower Bank, N.A.
In 2026, we welcomed First Foundation to our family of brands. Through the merger between FirstSun and First Foundation Inc., First Foundation Bank merged into Sunflower Bank, N.A., and First Foundation Advisors became a wholly owned subsidiary of FirstSun. Working together, we bring complete relationship-focused financial solutions to our customers and communities.
