Sunflower Bank Expands Mortgage Presence in the Inland Northwest with New Spokane Branch and High-Performing Idaho Teams

February 23, 2026

Spokane, WA – We are pleased to announce a significant expansion of our mortgage lending teams across Eastern Washington and Idaho, reinforcing our position as a leading mortgage provider in one of the region’s most active housing markets.

“The Inland Northwest continues to see strong demand for mortgage expertise, and our growth is a direct response to the needs of the communities we serve,” said Josh Martin, Managing Director of Mortgage Lending. “By bringing together top producing teams in Spokane and Idaho, we are strengthening our ability to deliver local insight, competitive solutions, and long term value for our customers.”

With the addition of twenty-one high performing mortgage professionals in Idaho, we are building on strong momentum in the region, which experienced significant mortgage production growth in 2025. This expansion enhances the bank’s ability to serve homebuyers, homeowners, and real estate professionals throughout the Inland Northwest. The new Idaho locations are:

  • 3693 East Longwing Lane, Suite 120-H, Meridian, ID 83646
  • 105 North 4th Street, Suite 301, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814

We are also announcing the grand opening of our new Mortgage Lending branch at 244 West Main Avenue in Spokane, Washington on February 12, 2026. The location consolidates two existing Spokane offices into a single, expanded space designed to support the growing teams and increasing client demand. The Spokane office will serve as a regional hub for our mortgage operations, bringing together established Spokane lenders and newly added Idaho teams.

Sunflower Bank’s History in Spokane

We first established a presence in Spokane in 2019 through our Guardian Mortgage home loan division, which rebranded under the Sunflower Bank name in 2025. In 2021, we received regulatory approval to register our 239 West Main office as a licensed depository branch—reflecting our growing local customer base and long‑term commitment to the market.

Since then, we have continued to expand our mortgage lending, private banking, and wealth management services throughout Spokane and surrounding communities. The newly renovated 244 West Main location represents the next phase of that investment, providing a modern, collaborative environment designed to support clients and teams across Washington and Idaho.

In addition to our locally led Mortgage Lending teams, Spokane is home to Martin, who was promoted to Managing Director of Mortgage Lending from Director of Mortgage Loan Sales in early February 2026. He first joined Sunflower Bank as a Mortgage Branch Manager in 2018 and now oversees all aspects of our national Mortgage Lending platform.
