Kristin Piñeiro, J.D., LL.M., CTFA, AEP®

As the Chief Fiduciary Officer, Kristin oversees all fiduciary responsibilities for the Wealth Management business. Prior to joining Sunflower Bank in 2024, she managed the trust department for a bank in the Rocky Mountain region and practiced law for over 20 years, where she counseled closely held businesses and high net-worth individuals regarding legal and tax planning strategies for wealth transfer and preservation, business succession, probate, and trust administration.

Kristin received her J.D. and LL.M. (taxation) degrees from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and her B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Kristin is a member of the bar of the State of Colorado. She also holds Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designations.

Kristin is a past president and current member of the Women’s Estate Planning Council, a past member of the Trusts & Estate Section Executive Council of the Colorado Bar Association, and a past member of the University of Denver College of Law Alumni Council. She is also a current member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations.

Kristin is a frequent writer and lecturer on various estate planning and business succession topics, and is a faculty member of CBA-CLE, providing continuing legal education in Colorado.
