We’re pleased to share this letter received by our customers in El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM with the announcement that that the bank is now known as Sunflower Bank in their communities.

In order to make things simpler for you as a customer, we are pleased to announce that we will now be known as Sunflower Bank in El Paso and Las Cruces. And the best part of the change is, you don’t have to do a thing! No matter the name, we are here to create possibility in the lives we touch and the communities we serve. Below are helpful answers to questions you may have.
What do I need to do?
Nothing. All your accounts are already Sunflower Bank accounts, since First National 1870 is a division of Sunflower Bank. Your account numbers, debit cards, credit cards, checks, automatic payments, and all banking transactions will remain exactly the same. No action is required by you. We encourage you to start visiting SunflowerBank.com to access online banking, but the choice is yours.
Why change the name to Sunflower Bank in El Paso and Las Cruces? And why now?
In El Paso and Las Cruces, we’ve heard from you that it just makes sense to be known as who we are: Sunflower Bank. What about First National 1870? Does it still exist?
The bank will continue to be known as First National 1870 in Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Albuquerque to honor our special heritage in the region. This year we are thrilled to be celebrating the 150th Anniversary of bringing banking to the Southwest.
